Fox Home Entertainment’s 20th century logo, was used from 1995 to 2020.
On March 16, 1995,[13] the business changed its name to 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment following Fox Entertainment Group’s acquisition of CBS’s stake in CBS/Fox. Two new media organizations, Fox Interactive, and Magnet Interactive Studios, as well as additional distribution businesses, Fox Kids Video, CBS Video, and CBS/Fox Video, were also established under the reorganization. With FoxVideo accounting for the majority at $650 million, the expanded business unit would have generated over $800 million in sales overall. Mechanic appointed Jeff Yap as the international president and retained DeLellis as head of the enlarged unit’s North American operations.

By May 1995, Fox had signed Magnet to a global label agreement that would run for 10 to 12 films till 1996. When DVDs were released onto the market, TCFHE would also be in charge of them.[14] When the three original Star Wars films were released in August 1995, Mechanic forced Fox Home Entertainment to implement a moratorium strategy, giving the films a four-month sales window before they were permanently removed from theatres for The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, and until autumn of 1997 for New Hope. Sales exceeded forecasts by over 30 million copies. Independence Day, the company’s 1996 home video release, became the best-selling live-action product in the business with 18 million units sold.
